Yellow Crocus
On Saturday, February 6, 2016, I was invited by Karen to attend the U.S. G.I.R.L.S. Book Club meeting. The book of the month was Yellow Crocus. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I would like to thank Dee for allowing me to ride with her as we visited Kingsley Plantation. As we traveled on the plantation, it brought the book to life and I had a sense of how one of the main character in the book must have felt upon entering a plantation. Nevertheless, the highlight was when we gathered at the Sand Dollar Restaurant to eat and discuss the book. It was an exhilarating experience when we came face to face with the Author, Laila Ibrahim’s via skyping her and asking her questions. I had the opportunity of asking her “why did she name the book Yellow Crocus”. Overall, my experience with this group was the spirit of excellent! The host was very nice and gracious and provided each participant with a beautiful gift bag. Although I only knew two of the members, everyone welcomed me as though I was a member. This is an organized and professional group of women who made me feel so warm and welcome. The beautiful pictures that were placed on the website captured my amazing experience with the book club. I will always cherish this outing as I met new beautiful women who are committed to friendship, love, and fellowship as they also do not forget to give back to the community with their gift of help and service. Finally, thank you (Ladies) for the beautiful calendar and post card that I received in the mail. God Bless, Dianne

It is so great to see you ladies looking extra cute and coming together for a good read and a great time. We women put so much time and energy into our loved ones it is nice to take a minute to refresh and replenish ourselves. God Bless!Luke 1:45
